Welcome to the YMCA of Riverside City & County
The mission of the YMCA of Riverside City & County is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We are an association of people of all ages, ethnic groups and religious affiliations who are united in a common effort to put Christian principles into practice, to enrich the quality of spiritual, mental, physical and social life for our families, our community and ourselves. The focus of the YMCA is on people with emphasis on our four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Our true success can be measured only by the communities and individuals we serve by the impact we make on the quality of their lives.
We are proud of our program offerings and the delivery of these services through our dedicated staff and volunteer leaders. We are constantly working toward accomplishing our goals in accordance with our mission to Build Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities by:
- Inspiring an energetic group of volunteer leaders to raise additional funds in order to respond to new and ongoing programming needs in our community.
- Continuing to place financial resources behind maintaining and improving our building and equipment.
- Ensuring that the YMCA is widely known in the community and recognized for the many quality services offered through consistent messages.
The YMCA accomplishes its mission through the delivery of six major program areas: aquatics, camping, family life, health enhancement, sports, and leadership development. Volunteers who serve as board members, cummittee members, program volunteers, and fundraisers provide much of the bloodlife of our YMCA.
